Born in Romford, Neil Milton is a graduate of English Literature and Creative Writing from theUniversity of East Anglia, Norwich and a trainee teacher. A voracious reader, writing is his perennial love. At uni, he partook in the first Screen East/ Anglia TV ‘Storylab: Script Breakfasts’ programme, in Cambridge.
In the time since graduating uni, amongst other things, he has been entertainment editor of the, then, newly founded ‘The Student Website’, at UEA, and was selected for ‘Talent Lab Media Hub’ at the University of East London. He has also interned at both Muzik and Jockey Slut, national dance music magazines. Following this, he contributed fashion articles and a comedy news column to Outline magazine in Norwich.
Last year he had poems featured in ‘Homeland’, published by United Press. He also participated in the Romford Contemporary Art Programme’s Non-Institute of Collaborative Happenings and Endeavours (NICHE) ‘Off the Page’ programme, with author Gemma Seltzer. He recently wrote film reviews for Xtreme Entertainment Network.
Aside from writing, he has acted in two Shakespearean productions with the Romford Summer Theatre, featured in a Natwest advert, and has presented radio in Norwich and Romford. He has also had pictures exhibited in several galleries.
