Does this not ring a bell with anybody? The worms would invade townsfolks bodies and try to gain info that way. Nobody was allowed to leave the town. I read the book back in 1991. It was on paperback but it wasn't an old book. thanks

I read a book back in 1991, paperback. It was about some outer space worm bounty hunters that were here to bring back another alien that had escaped its slave prison. They took over a small town. They infected peoples body searching for this escaped prisoner. It was such a great book...
