Just started reading Harlan Coban's book "Caught" - it's really intriguing so far - would like to keep on reading but it's now midnight and I'll be dead on my feet tomorrow if I don't put it down and get to bed. It's a struggle. momac::flowers:
Shamelessly etc
If I'm in as you say - did I already give you details of what I read - still having trouble finding previous posts - do you need any details regarding me? momac:
I have read The Lincoln Lawyer and enjoyed it - the idea of a lawyer working out of the back of his car is unbelievable. I worked for a lawyer and there wasn't enough room for the files on his desk, my desk and all over his floor - he could probaby take lessons from the Lincoln Lawyer. Really...
What are you reading now
Tai Mai shu: Am interested to hear what you think of Lincoln Child and Preston - I read the first few end enjoyed them and then they began to get so horrific that I discontinued. Can't remember the names of the books now but read the one about the huge red...
Hello again John123 - was already writing a message to you and it disappeared - was asking why you had no friends - I guess you mean friends in the forum. I'm new at this so am just trying things - trial and error. I joined to see what people were reading and maybe pick up some new authors as...
Thanks for your reply re Lee Child. Have read many of his novels, just finished one a couple of days ago - his most recent I believe. I also like Daniel Silva and Vince Flynn also Nelson DeMille - his latest will be out in paperback in May "The Lion" I think it's called. Have another book on...
Thanks for your reply about Gothic novels. Used to read a lot of the Frankenstein stuff when a bit younger but don't dabble in the supernatural at all now - getting less adventurous as the years go on. momac
Gothic novels
Please excuse my ignorance but tell me what is a Gothic Novel and would it be something I would read as my main interests in fiction are modern mysteries, action fiction, legal and courtroom novels and a host of other minor stuff. momac:confused:
Hello AllAfricanBooks - does your user name mean you read only African Books - or are you from Africa - don't know a whole lot about the dark continent but would be interested to hear about it. momac
I'm a newbie.....
Thanks for the welcome Tai Mai Shu. Finding it interesting - my first time in a book forum so still navigating by trial and error. momac
New from England
Hello - I'm from England too although many years ago - also a seaside town. Lived and went to school in Blackpool and then worked for Barclays Bank there. Still have fond memories - am still in touch with some of the people who were at school the same time as myself, one of...
Hi David - thanks for responding - don't know about badger's subterranean house - I just always felt so cozy reading about the little critters. I see you have written a book -congrats to you - always wished I had enough imagination to write a book. Took some creative writing classes and...
Don't really know what it's all about but here goes
Please reply to let me know what I'm getting into here - this genre swap - is it an information swap so that a person can try reading something they wouldn't necessarily pick up. Sounds interesting. momac
Greetings to all - I read lots and lots although that might change a little bit as the weather gets warmer and I get out in the garden. I like mysteries, thrillers, action fiction, legal and court novels, don't have a favourite book as an adult but still fondly think of my one favourite when...
