How many sets of headphones/earbuds do you own?
Don't own any, hubby is the one who likes to listen to his CD's in bed. He thinks I should get headphones as I'm a bit deaf in one ear and have the TV too loud for his taste. Would need a really long cord. We don't have any Iphones or such...
I worry about friends who smoke - never been a smoker and none of my family smokes so apart from the health angle don't really have an opinion. Ontario used to have a large tobacco growing area but now I think it has been changed over to another crop - some of the drying sheds are still there I...
I have a variety of flowers and climbing roses in the front flower garden, petunias, blue salvia, geraniums, a large chunk of heather, golden spirea shrubs, snapdragons and hubby has tomatoes, potatoes, carrots and all sorts of perennial flowers in the back garden together with clematis and...
If it's not injured put it back outside on a tree or in a hedge and see if momma bird comes for it (that's what we would do.)
How many posters on the forum have gardens?
Which did you like better and why: Empire Strikes Back or Return of the Jedi?
The Empire Strikes Back - our boys and I never missed any of the Star Wars movies.
Did or does anyone watch Battlestar Galactica - it's a favourite on another forum I subscribe to.
I thought I was responding to Brk 3's question about big bands - can't expect me to remember everything
Anyway, here's a question - Do any of you still have LP's of big bands?
Being an oldster I love Big Band music but any records I do have are LP's and we no longer have anything to play them on - I could probably get them in CD form from the speciality record shop and play them on our Bose (which is a marvellous piece of equipment - no wires or speakers - just nice...
Sorry about that - hadn't occurred to me that I was giving away any secrets. Will be careful in future. It is a bit unlikely that many people will be reading this book as it was written in 1975 and out of print and I had to obtain it through the local bookstore who knew where to get a used...
Hi Joderu95: Have finished The Windchill Factor. Great suspense and intrigue, the way the different characters were described you could really picture them and then all the conspiracy detail was kind of scary. Almost seemed like it could have happened - I'm amazed that Gifford hasn't...
Just watched The Shootist about a week ago, hadn't seen it before which surprised me as I've seen a lot of John Wayne movies, some better than others but this one was really good. We get a lot of old movies on the AMC network. The Duke seemed more human and not so much the super hero he...
What I wonder about is why someone can speak eloquently and passionately about a book and when I read it I can find it tedious and depressing - what am I missing?
Hello Joderu95: Have just started The Windchill Factor and really enjoying it -will probably have trouble putting it down tonight - The book was out of print and my local bookstore managed to get a used copy for me from New Brunswick and they shipped it out here to Ontario. It's yellowed with...
