Actaully, I felt like they cut down on the silliness factor in the movie; It was very toned down compared to the book. I was expecting this big light show type deal and it wasn't that at all. The rest of that scene was kind of...well, crap, I thought. It was my least favorite part of the movie...
Jacob's character is expanded a lot in the next book, which I found to be enjoyable - don't be afraid at all :). In my opinion, the second book was the best of the four.
As for the movie... well, just don't expect too much. Lines that were cheesy in the book are even cheesier on screen.
I don't know if that was more painful to hear, or to watch. yeesh.
IMHO, possibly the worst lyrics ever written:

My main hobbies, besides reading, are martial arts (judo and jujitsu) and photography. Then, I have seasonal hobbies - hiking and riding my dirtbike in the good weather, snowboarding and snowshoeing in the snowy time...
I recently came across my August and Everything After CD. I put it in my CD player at work and have listened to it every day since. :)
