Mark Haddon: The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime

My son has just read it and loved it. He is 11 and has mild autism. I just asked him and he thinks that it's suitable for ages 8 to adult. I think that he enjoyed reading about someone else who also sees things in a different from the norm. :)

    Withnail and I

I love it! "I must have some booze. I demand to have some booze." I love the "here hare here" thing too. :)

Who Had the Best New Years Fireworks Display?

I saw a clip of the Sydney fireworks on the news just now. The red heart ones looked wonderful! :)

    looking for flower magazine

If it were me I'd go on a course first and get some work experience too before attempting to start a business. :)

    Christopher Paolini

It really depends upon who's reading it I guess. My son is 11 and Eragon is the first "big" book that he's read. He loved it and was bursting with pride when he finished it. It's fired him up to go on and read more and more. :)

    Crackers/Bonbons

You're in luck as I have one right here in front of me. It's piece of red plastic in the shape of a fish. You place it in the palm of your hand and it moves with the heat from your hand. Its movements indicate your fortune. Moving Head - Jealousy Moving Tail - Indifference Moving Head...

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe

I took my son to see the film yesterday and it was very good. I was very impressed with the battle scene as they managed it all without showing any blood or gore at all which was nice for the younger children.

    Extrovert Magazine

It's not very informative. The article on Coco Chanel is only a very brief 350 words long, just five paragraphs. I too hate music being "forced" upon me. Very annoying. Just out of interest, what kind of books do you like reading Chanelgirl?

    Tea

I just love BUYING tea, all the sweet packaging and wonderful descriptions. trouble is, I just can't DRINK tea! I hate it, I've tried and tried but just can't bear the taste. I'm a coffee girl through and through. All my Canadian friends think I'm just weird "But you're English, you must drink...

Has anybody had the flu yet?

I've rarely had the flu so I wouldn't dream of having a jab for it. As I'm asthmatic I was offered one free but I feel happier to not have my body injected with whatever concoction is in it. In the same way, I wouldn't take oral drugs for something that I haven't got. I'm happier treating the...

    BBC's The Big Read - Top 100

I've only read 18. It doesn't seem very good to me! Interesting to see the list up to 200. I don't remember seeing that before. :)
