    Eurovision Song Contest 2005 (Ukraine)

The songs are completely irrelevant. It just depends on how popular you are with your neighbouring countries. If anyone could be bothered to look you would probably find that the few times we in the UK have won have been in years when we haven't been bombing the crap out of some other country in...

Is this the way to Armadillo?

Me to. just incredible when you imagine the stress they're under. It brought a tear to my eye. I really hope they all get home safely to their children, wives and loved ones.

    Who else loathes..

He appeared much more interesting to read before all the movie hype started and every man and his dog said they had read the book and then voted for it in the BBC top 100 list. Slightly annoying when you get 15 year olds after seeing one of the films commenting that the book was better when you...

    Leo Tolstoy: Anna Karenina

I think Anna's mistake was, and how mant times this must happen, was she fell for Vronsky because of his flambouyant demenour and his social popularity. When she actually had her man where she wanted him she decided she wanted him all to herself. He wasn't willing to give up his social status...

Dan Brown: The Da Vinci Code

HALO anything that paints the catholic church in a bad light is fine by me). What exactly do you mean by this. Surely you must resign your post. [Deleted a nasty insult]

    Leo Tolstoy: Anna Karenina

I read the book last year, All I can say is that Anna got what she deserved :She wanted her cake and did eventually eat it ! One of the funniest and honest things I have ever read is the discription of child birth by Kitty's husband (I can't remember his name). So,So true, anyone who has...

    Hunter S. Thompson

Well, I would recommend " The Rum Diaries." It was recommended to me by my brother in law who has studied American lit. It has all the attributes an American classic;Really well written with no real ending.

Just reading the last few pages of Michael Moore's "Dude, Where's My Country." I've always thought Blair's mate Dubya was a bit dodgy. Now I'm really worried. Oprah for President? She'd get my vote over the present options.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe

I' ve just finished reading this book to my six year old and I can't agree with you. Although he really enjoyed this book we found it a little bit harder going than "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" and "The Magician's Nephew," due to some of the dialogue becoming a little complicated for a...

    John Steinbeck

I read "Of Mice and Men" first, then went on to "The Grapes of Wrath" which I found to be an incredibly heart rending story of how badly and how lovingly we have treated our fellow man over history. Shocking (tear in your eye) ending. Definately worth a read.
