Well I thought it was tense, gritty and edge of the seat stuff. It's what Godzilla should've been like (although I still liked Godzilla). The characters are believable - they start off as a bunch of fairly irritating socialites, but as they are literally thrown from one terrifying scene to...
A really promising young actor ( only 28 ) with a young child. Such a sad loss - he always struck me as someone with so much life and his up and coming Joker role was set to rocket his career.
One of his best roles for me was A Knight's Tale - loved it. Sadly missed...
They offer as little or as much as you want. I went for the whole shooting match - it covered everything including spelling, punctuation, styling, structure and continuity.
It's important to get an accredited one though so you know you're going to get a professional service. A member of...
I published my first novel through PA - I was naive and lived to regret it. Luckily I had my manuscript professionally edited first (so PA's next to useless inhouse team didn't have a chance to muck it up) and the quality of the finished trade paperback is actually good, but my biggest bugbear...
That's a fair point, but if people want to flout the ratings system then it's at their own risk. In my own personal opinion, I thought the rating was about spot on, but I know people's opinions differ quite a bit over ratings in general.
I got to see this last night and after a bit of an awkward start I actually really enjoyed it. At first it seems quite disjointed - like they've had to shoe-horn as much as possible from the book into it to the detriment of the flow of the story. But it settles down and turns into quite an...
I didn't think there was anything wrong with the rating at all. Too violent??? There's hardly any violence in it at all and what there is does not show gratuatous blood or gore. The dog attack scene was the most violent scene and even that the viewer only got to see small smears of blood on...
The second book-signing for Sinema has been sorted - Borders Books Gateshead branch Sat 19th Jan 12-3pm. I was really pleased with the first one, selling 19 books in the 3 hours that I was there.
Full address and telephone number of branch is...

Well I managed to see this a couple of days ago. The first half was very atmospheric and the cut scenes with his wife and kid are good too, but opting for full CGI for the infected was a big mistake - they come across as too comic-like and therefore less scary and less believable.

Religion aside, I like to think of Christmas as a time for family and friends and a time where everyone is just that little bit nicer and more tolerant to each other.
Merry Christmas everyone and a hope-filled new year.
Totally agree, Elf. A writer must write for him or herself first, but most writers do want an audience for their work at some point. I love people reading my work, commenting and discussing it.
It has to be Fairytale of New York by the Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl. Absolute classic. That and Band Aid Do They Know it's Christmas. Oh and also Chris Rea - Driving Home for Christmas.
I've managed to arrange the first book-signing for Sinema for Friday 21st December 12-3pm at Borders Books, Silverlink, Wallsend, Newcastle upon Tyne. If there are any members in the area I'd love to see you there.
Thanks a lot, LC - it's a dream come true to see the fruits of your labour in print and to hold a bound copy in your hands. I'm chuffed to bits. I'm planning a number of book signings up and down the country starting in my hometown, Newcastle.
Well, it's here! My second novel, Sinema (a dark thriller about a serial killer stalking a remote Northumberland village) has started to hit the distributors and retailers - starting with Amazon and Tesco with the others following over the next few days.
There's a blurb, extract and reviews...
