The first thing that comes to mind would be having a cookout and maybe having a bonfire in the evening on a quiet part of a Lake Michigan beech where is can listen to the waves. I'd have some of my favorite beers and some grilled bratwurst n' sauerkraut.
I checked out a moving sale up the road and found some good cheap books. Stephen King: Misery, Stephen King: The Dead Zone, Clive Barker: Books of Blood Vol. 2, and a collection of E. A. Poe stories.
All four books were only a dime each and were actually in decent shape.
"Who gives a shit what you believe? In thirty seconds you'll be dead, and I'll blow this place up and be home in time for Corn Flakes. " Vilos Cohaagen - Total Recall
What a terrific villain line. :D
I didn't like Wizard and Glass much. It was slow and a BIG detour from the rest of the main story. Backstory is okay but a whole novel just for the was overkill IMO.
It was funny how they got past Blaine though.
I have mixed feelings about the last 2 books but I'm still glad I read The Dark Tower.
I think my favorite might still be The Drawing of the Three. I also enjoyed Wolves of the Calla.
The best I could think of was EELS: Last Stop, This Town
you're dead but the world keeps spinning
take a spin through the world you left
it's getting dark a little too early
are you missing the dearly bereft?
taking flight and you could be
here tomorrow
taking flight, well, you could get...
