if the book is mine, i fold the upper corner of the page(guilty)...sometimes i use bookmarks or any piece of paper i can insert between the pages to mark where i stopped. if the book is not mine, i use a bookmark.
i can't remember the first one but the earliest i can remember is treasure island by robert louis stevenson (a gift from my mother) when i was 10, unless i read heidi and hans brinker first. either of these three i guess. i liked the story of hans because his world was so different from...
i usually read several books at a time. it depends on my mood and where i am. i have several at home, another in my bag and another in my desk at work for breaktime. i like it this way and it's not a problem for me keeping track of the storylines. sometimes, the bvooks are all have read...
my avatar is don camillo, one of my favorite characters. he is one of the main characters in the series of stories written by giovanni guareschi. the other major character is peppone. i find the series hilarious.
i have only a few shelves so the books i don't plan to read in the near future i store in boxes, then, on the shelves i arrange my books according to size so i can place some more books on top of the short ones.
just finished reading straight by dick francis. like his books even if i have no idea of the things and places that he talks about, specially horses and jockeys; but he's a good storyteller and i enjoy reading his books.
angels of september ( greeley), bourne identity (read it first when i was in high school, probably read this around ten times already), the books of gabriel garcia marquez because i don't get it at first reading
read angels and demons first. it's way better than the da vinci code although i read da vinci code first. of all of brown's books so far, it's the best (imo). digital fortress was boring
i've read the book but i haven't seen the movie. the story is quite okay, hilarious at times, but not a book i will read three times a year or take seriously.
being somewhere near the age of bridget, i understand some of the situations she went through.
i've read "the alchemist" and "by the river piedra" and partly some of his other books. i liked "the alchemist", i liked the story.
regarding " by the river piedra"...
my best friend told me the story reminded her of me, mmm still trying to figure that one out.
