Too many people try to find meaning and purpose for their lives from an external source when they have the abililty to do it themselves......
In my opinion, outside sources simply allow us to reflect on what we already posess. The more time you look for answers to your life in other places...

SH5 certainly is the best known one for its antiwar commentary. However, I wouldn't overlook his other works, some of which I find much more interesting.
For example, his commentary on the absurdity of the human race, and it's characteristics (Galapagos).

Yes to both since I'm not sure which you are referring to.
Zen in the Art of Archery can easily be read in one sitting, but could probably be reread many times before picking up everything entailed in it.
My comment had nothing to do with insight, it referred to the presence of Zen in it. ZMM was a collection of interesting ideas, but failed to really represent Zen that well.
A definite improvement seems to be occurring in your writing. Your ideas, ones that used to be muffled, are coming together coherently. I particularly like just reading the first paragraph alone, without the rest. In that paragraph you very delicately touch upon an event outside of time...
I've never understood my own interest in them, but it's there! I was quite infatuated with Underworld as well. Perhaps I just like girls who bite..... :D
