According to my 'Typer Shark' game, I can do 35 wpm provided the Pirahnas don't appear with the # sign, as it takes me 10 mintues to find that on my keyboard..
Of course it might have been 35 letters pm, which seems more likely.
Just wanted to warn you all to look out for and avoid the ghastly thing I saw on Tv last night, imaginatively titled in Italian--Lost in the Storm. It stars the incredible teeth of William Devane and a very much older than I last saw her Patty Duke...Basically small family plane crashes in snowy...
Just finished The Silent Cry bu Kenzaburo Oe, and this seemed to be a largely autobiographical follow up to a Personal Matter. These two books are quite strange, Oe's writing of the narrator gives us very little as he is totally shut off from himself, but descriptions of the moods and feelings...
It's so sad to see what a mess Whitney got herself into ( and still can't seem to get out of). I blame her skanky husband. And yep, Madge kept her head when all around her.....I prefer Whitney as a singer though, and she was stunning in the Bodyguard.
I enjoyed it in a people-mag-between-books way, yes. I just couldn't help wondering why there were so many white people surrounding Rachel, and why the music was so white, you know? Best bit- Kevins Mouth- love it.
Bit of IMDB trivia, apparently it was originally written for Steve McQueen and...
Like you Jenn, I'm the eternal optimist...why last night I even watched The Bodyguard for the first time ( having no pap test scheduled, what's a girl to do?)
I wouldn't have minded looking at Colin Firths face, hee hee. I just found myself transfixed by Colin Farrells' bad hair job, it was the only entertaining thing in the whole film. Do admit though, Angelina was gorgeous.
I really don't care what he did or said to avoid the war and stay alive, he was the greatest guitarist of all time, not even Prince can touch him . I'm more concerned about the whole idea of homosexuallity excluding people from the military- why?
And I know my husband would be very concerned...
I totally agree with you on this, there is no meaningful debate if people cannot express themselves and their opinions in their own way. There is no point in pointing the finger and shouting Troll Alert just because someone has a certain way of expressing themselves that doesnt match other...
The level of so called trolling that we see on here is more within the realms of provoking debate and discussion, I have only really seen one example of what I thought was deliberate provocation and when I saw the low amount of posting done by said person, it kind of made me think Troll. But...
Blimey! I dont know if its the copious amounts of wine I've drunk but I really like these, I had a look at them earlier today and they've kind of stuck with me. In fact I was thinking about them in bed this afternoon...crazy name, crazy guy, Im enjoying Mr Floo.............
Thank you again for your good wishes, I've had a lovely self indulgent day which involved lots of wine, Im now surfing the forum drunk and incapable, and may show myself up, but forgive me tomorrow ej, I men Eh? Oh dear see what I mean?
Dont worry, in Italy 49 year olds with secure jobs, nice cars, laptops and 3 mobile phones still live at home.
Today I had to beat my way to the supermarket nice and early to get my clams for dinner tonight - only 2 people in front of me at the fish counter, both of them having paranoid...
