All the reasons to say buy the physical book that is also availabe for free online.

Market to people like me somehow. I hate reading on a screen. I make an exception for these forums and blogs and such (content not available on the shelves of my local library!)

You know you're addicted to reading when...

I do that at other people's houses....I was flummoxed once to find people who had one book, the dictionary (yes I read the dictionary, they were watch baseball boooring ) I actually make lunch dates with myself and a good book sometimes (I usually eat dinner with my boy). And...

You know you're addicted to reading when...

Goodreads is starting to solve that for me. I usually borrow rather than buy so it works. Wish lists on amazon are great too.

You know you're addicted to reading when...

Happens to me all the time. Also get mistaken for an employee quite often.

You know you're addicted to reading when...

My library did that recently. Now I'm getting to know the new arrangement thankfully.

You know you're addicted to reading when...

That's my purse requirement too basically. Only I'm a petite woman and look funny with huge purses so I go with "big enough to hold a standard paperback". I hate being caught without a book in a boring moment.

You know you're addicted to reading when...

Agreed. Heaven must have a Borders, a huge Borders with every book ever and big comfy chairs. I'm going to spend the afterlife reading, I just know it.

    Goodreads

I love goodreads, I don't use it much for the social aspect, that's what the forums here are for, but I do keep track of my reading these days and am always on the look out for additions to my to-read list. This is me

The Seven Types of Bookstore Customers

Camper. I've read many a book in the bookstore, I even buy some of them.

    Book Shelf Or Shelve Books?!

    I keep everything.

What kind of reader are you?

The kind that would do little else if she could afford to.

    Between Books

None. I've usually got at least three books going at once (I have to be in the mood for what I'm reading) and never have finished all at the same time. Once I finish one I always get a new one. I can't stay away from the library...it is to me the site of my greatest pleasure.

Do you read on public transport?

Yep, I read on the bus all the time. There's not really much else to do on the bus and depending on where you're going the trip can be quite lengthy. I also like to live in a world of my own choosing and be able to freely ignore people on the bus.

    The top 5 stolen books

I could never grow bored probably. Is your bookstore really small or something? Although I don't usually go to B&N but the other big chain, Borders. All of our bookstores are multiple floored and huge.

    The top 5 stolen books

I wonder how people do that. Study in a bookstore I mean...I tried once...I ended up reading instead.

    The top 5 stolen books

I actually told my mom I was cheating when I was younger and she asked how and I told her I kept the answers in my head and read out of that to answer....mind you I'm mildly autistic and actually DID think I was doing something bad because I could see the material in my head.

    The top 5 stolen books

And I'm willing to say 'dirty' books and textbooks ($$$$$!!!!!) are probably the most likely to be stolen.

    The top 5 stolen books

I 'steal' books. I read them in store and keep them in my brain. It's good my brain doesn't set off the alarms. I also 'cheat' on tests with my wonderful memory. :D

Tell me what you read and I'll tell you who you are

Not in my case. I get chatty easily and sometimes outright silly and at 24 find myself mistaken for a teenager more often than not (part of that is my size and baby face too) but I read. A lot. The only times I'm not talking are when I'm sleeping, reading, eating or typing.....I apparently am in...

Movies you saw, but never knew it was made from a book..

None. I'm the person who yells out 'I read that!', every time someone mentions a movie that I know as a book, sometimes only as a book. I've even gotten to inform my anime crazed BF that Howl's Moving Castle is a book and who it's by. Trust me, I always notice.
