No, the 250mb isnt limited, its a permanent fix they set up to deal with the large number of attachments on emails these days.
I believe you can pay for a further upgrade to 2 gig or something around there.

I have to agree on this point - his first two books particularly (Digital Fortress and ... whatever the other one is called) are very weak compared to his writing in Da Vinci - you can see him developing the style, but there is probably a good reason he was never renowned for publishing them...
