    U.K.'s new child slavery problem

SFG75 started this thread and it is about U.K.'s new child slavery problem. It has been all over the news this week. There have been dawn raids in Slough and other areas on Monday. Police arrested 19 Romanian adults in the raids on 17 addresses...

    U.K.'s new child slavery problem

So should we thank then and give some sort of tax relief for this service or stop them from entering our country...........or would that be violating their human rights. One example........horrible romanians. Explain what you mean by that remark because it does seem as though you are...

    U.K.'s new child slavery problem

You may want, need or use prostitutes of what ever nationality, I don't. Your views seem to be similar to Sybarite's in that you are disregarding the crime and blaming society. You are excusing these child rapists, and abusers. Views like yours are the cause of what is happening. To...

    U.K.'s new child slavery problem

That's the sort of comment that makes light of a serious situation. Lets address the issue and not try and excuse it. It is evil Romanian people that are trafficking and selling young children to be sold as slaves and prostitutes, to work in London and other towns across the UK. These...

    Scottish independence

IF you get a job. You, could end up in Tesco if you fail your degree or if to many people with the same degree as you are chasing to few jobs. If you do get the job you want, £20,000 won't be to hard to pay off with all the money you will earn.

I think I know why people don’t read

I read a book.............finish it and start a new one as soon as I can. Then somewhere along the line, maybe after two or three books I get one that I loose interest in. That book will sit there for weeks waiting to be finished. For some reason that I'm unsure of I don't want to start a new...

    Richard Dawkins: The God Delusion

A good review, although somewhat late. Why would an atheist need to read a book about the non existence of God. Was your non belief slipping to the extent you needed reassurance? :) I read it and I'm still not an atheist. Maybe I should read it again. I think it does for the atheist...

Do you read in the toilet, and what reading material usually goes in there?

No and I don't **** in the library either. I don't have breakfast in bed and I don't sleep on the dining room table. :)

    Do You Own a Gun(s)?

Oh my god, I agree with Stewart on this. ..............but not this...... Why do you want to lock it away in the Mature Discussions section?

    Gun Control

Bullets kill people. It would be hard to shoot someone if there were no guns.

    Do people judge you?

Well, am I being facetious? Maybe, but I am still making a serious point. To me books are books, words on paper, whether it's Tolstoy's words or Dan Brown's words. What someone enjoys, someone else won't. The word 'fluff' is being used in an almost put down way. If I find a book hard...
