I thought the first part of Maléna was the part that told the most. Completly male dominated society, the boy has no influence at all, and as such is unable to help Maléne in any way. This is part of why he just observes her from a distance. I don't think the movie would have worked if you...

Ghost in the Shell I was fairly surprised by that this movie was so thoughtful. I really loved the mood of this film. I don't think I have seen a lot of animated movies where there were scenes without action or talk, just pictures accompanied by music. Harold and Maude. I really liked the...

    Eurovision Song Contest 2005 (Ukraine)

Every time this show is on I wonder why they don't have songs that people would actually want to hear. Why not take artists that are big in their own country and let them battle it off... Then perhaps you would be able to watch it with combining it with some sort of drinking game.

    Eurovision Song Contest 2005 (Ukraine)

You take people without any form of music talent and make them perform song that no one would ever want to listen to. First this is done in each european country so each has an opportunity to selected the very worst of them all to represent their country in the final. The final is held in the...

Especially when you have had nothing for breakfast. But I have heard starting the day with a couple of beers should be really great.

Captain Spamtastico vs. The Succulent Spamzilla

Well you asked for it. Or at least you know where to find the truth and then pass it of as your own. :D What..? I thought that was funny.

Captain Spamtastico vs. The Succulent Spamzilla

Have you ever heard an elephant talk? If not, then how can you know the truth of the universe?

I once had a horse that couldn't read... It was no more dumb than the horses that could read. Welcome.

    what's everyone up to today?

Today I'm currently trying to be drunk before 3 pm and apparently it worked because I'm fairly drunk right now. But I guess that is what happens when your friends think it's a good idea to start drinking at 11 am.

    Kurt Vonnegut

I wasn't really thinking about knowing Vonnegut, although that probably helps. It was more the people who don't get his kind of humor, people who read the motherfucker paragraph and just think "Mothers had to wear chastity belts? Far out."

    Suicidal Creativity

I agree, I just wondered since I heard some here mention a link between the two once, and I couldn't really see why that should be the case. Besides that I don't see how anyone can see depression as being anything romantic. Perhaps the "link" comes from the fact that hearing about a writer who...

    Suicidal Creativity

Reading about different authors who chose to commit suicide made me think about if there is a possible connection between creativiti and depression. I found this: I also seem to remember reading something that depression could make some people more creative. What do you think, do you become...
