    Any suggestions please?

Thanks Heidizzle, you're quite right, Agatha Christie always seems to have a surprise up her sleeve; I suppose the reason why she wasn't on my list is because I read all of her novels way back in my teens. I always preferred her Poirot books though. I'll certainly look out for Serpentine...

    How often do you read?

Several times every day! In fact, I don't go anywhere without at least one book.

    The Closet

I certainly don't feel sufficiently knowledgeable about poetry to even attempt to critique your style, but it's certainly very moving, and a reminder that, unfortunately, we don't live in a world where everyone is accepted for who they are.

Thanks Flowerdk4, I'll have a look on the web and see what I can find out about him, although, I must admit I'm not normally into spy novels, nor anything remotely political. Could you perhaps recommend a Danish author who writes more in the 'serial-killer genre'?

    First book you ever read?

Poppy, how funny. I just had a quick look at your favorite books on your profile. I too loved Gone witht the Wind (although I didn't think Scarlet was nearly as good), and read the James Herriot books absolutely years ago!

    Lisa Gardner: Gone

This was definitely a good read. I love the way, towards the end of the book, she leaves every chapter with a cliff-hanger, and then promptly moves onto another facet of the story at the start of the next. It certainly had me reading faster and faster towards the end!

    Keith Ablow

You're welcome David. I'm just glad that you liked it. I love his main character, Frank Clevenger. So many authors these days seem to feel the need to make the investigator into a super-hero, and I love the way he is portrayed 'warts and all!' - a real person who has his own inadequacies...

    Greg Iles

I haven't tried his books yet either, although he is one of a list of authors that I've made a note of who seem to write the kind of books I generally like. Which two have you read? And which did you like or dislike?

    Dave Pelzer

I can certainly understand why your mother wouldn't let you read them; I don't think I've ever read a book that has left me feeling so angry.

    Easter Dinner

I'd really love to get a leg of lamb, but lamb doesn't seem to be very popular around these parts, or at least the buyer at Walmart doesn't seem to think so. As far as supermarkets go around here we have Walmart, Walmart, Walmart, (Sam's Club - still Walmart!) and Walmart. I don't know of a...
