I'm a big fan of the soundtracks for The Big Lebowski and Rushmore. Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels has a good one too. Nice Dusty Springfield tune, Spooky, which I think kind of gets a little overshadowed in the soundtrack world by Son of a Preacher Man on Pulp Fiction.
Perhaps someone on here can shed some light...
I'm interested in adapting a novel for film. I've been trucking right along with it (well, three scenes, which took about eight hours, but still) but I've got to thinking about copyrights and whatnot. Do the rights to a novel need to be purchased...
My biggest problem with the film was that in the novel American Psycho (as well as Bret Easton Ellis' other adapted works, Rules of Attraction and Less Than Zero) there are overlying themes of emptiness, hollowness, and a general moral vaccum. You get the sense that if you looked inside these...
