well, I purchased them yesterday (Sunday). 11 books for the price of 225 INRs (INdian Rupee). They are all second-hand books but in good condition especially when only one new book costs around 250 INRs :D . As usual, let me know about your views and advice if you have read some of them...
I don't think books change lives (except in some minor cases) and I do think that they change one's views and the way one thinks about some things like women, general life, job, governments, corporations, schooling etc. and while doing that they give you some skills too that you can expand on...

I am doing it from 2 months. UNIX Netowrk Programming by W. Richard Stevens along with TAKEDOWN by Tsutomu Shimomura. But that will be called cheating :D as firstone is the professionsal book I need to finish at my job by next month.
