I've had Near Dark on the DVR for weeks but haven't watched it yet. Strange Days was a cool movie. I wonder if she'll get more work from the publicity?
Yeah, it's a podcast. Unfortunately I couldn't find it in any other format. It's not super long though (approx. 20 minutes) so tough it out dammit! When you go to the site scroll down just a tad bit and click on the play arrow next to the speaker symbol.
I thought Avatar would have been as justified in winning as any other film nominated. Not because the story was anything special, but because it may go down as the movie that brought 3-D back in favor. However, there wasn't a stand-out, stellar movie in the bunch. I did like Hurt Locker a lot...

Yeah, it was interesting when I saw you posted that thread for Closer because I had just read Singleton the day before. Egan has about 20 or so short stories you can read online for free.
Never Cry Wolf - Farley Mowat
Into the Wild - Jon Krakauer
The Final Frontiersman - James Campbell
None are perfect fits, but maybe something you'd enjoy just the same.
I listened to my first audio book ever the other day (except for kid's stories when I was young) and I enjoyed it pretty well. It was harder to stay focused and I had to back it up a few times so I didn't get lost. I bought a pair of headphones just for this reason and I don't think I could...
