^Thatta girl.
We seem to be holding around 15% of the reading population if my poll has been perfectly unbiased. I'd like to see it drop under 10% though as that would make me feel like part of a really exclusive club.
Kevin J. Anderson's books are my most plentiful source of fluff. I used to read a lot of John Sandford, David Morrell, and David Hagberg but haven't for many years now.
I'm not sure our mutual wise crack on the Israeli thread was much appreciated. Apparently that is not a viable solution.

I alternate between both of them.
First I go with the hard boiled/hard drinking/chain smoking/women objectifying/overtly racist but somehow lovable detective novel and then I switch to any one of Regnery's fine political/cultural polemics.
For me the difference with a book more so than albums, food and people is that it's entertainment value lies mostly in its novelty. I eat dishes I like more than once because I want to continue living. ;)
I just might try that Black Company series. The cover looks mighty similar to Gene Wolfe's The Book of The New Sun.
For you Thomas: Old Man's War by John Scalzi.
sparkchaser: My Uncle Oswald by Roald Dahl.
Sybarite: Refuting Evolution by Jonathan Sarfati (I actually  when I read...
^That sums up my opinion. I've liked plenty of books that are worth reading again, but I just can't get over the idea of not using that same time to read something new.
I've never once re-read any book. I can't stand the idea that I am missing out on something that is completely new to me. Even if the book turns out to be crap at least it was still unexpected and I know which authors, types of books, plots, etc. might not be to my liking in the future.
Anyone...
I voted for Weaveworld because I've already read it and I'm an occasional poll anarchist. Libra, you have my permission to count my vote for any book you want.
Alright! Hello Hannah. I too live in the western U.S.. Dodge City myself. You? Tombstone? Lincoln County perhaps? Lonesome Dove?
