I finished Ulysses. Easily the most challenging read I've ever had and not always in a good way. I don't know how to properly rate it or review it so I won't. At least right now I can't/won't. Perhaps after a bit of fermentation I'll come back to this. If the book stays with me, and right...
Against the Day, Thomas Pynchon arrived today. I'll be finishing Ulysses tonight and starting V., Pynchon's first novel, on the day that his latest, and possibly last?, work arrived in the mail.

I agree. Granted my time management skills are lacking but even if I were better organized I could see adding maybe another ten books. I don't presume my reading speed to be that far away from a seasoned readers average. Let's see some...
When it was talked about reading more than one book at once I said that reading more than one at a time slows me down. I can wrap my mind around the different books but overall if I had read them seperately they would be completed faster. Perhaps that would work for you?
A Tales of Two Cities or Oliver Twist? I find the prose, tone, characters, plots and message all very interesting. Dickens isn't for everybody. If you find he isn't for you remember to phrase it properly. Dickens isn't dull, you may find him dull but he's not dull.
