Yes, I would hope the day I let my real life obligations slide will be the day I stop playing. That's one of the reasons I don't play much on-line -- I've heard too many stories of people beoming way too addicted that way. Forums are bad enough! LOL
I'm with you on RT III being a bit of a let down. And yes, SimCity and The Sims were both quite good.
I'm glad you've broken your addiction, if that's what you wanted. Maybe someday I'll get tired of playing or feel I play too much, but for now... I'm not feeling guilty, thank goodness! LOL
That's what made Morrowind so attractive to me. It was completely open ended -- you could follow the main story line if you wished, or not, and once you were done with the main story, the game was far from "over". Lots of guilds you can join and do stuff for, or not. It made for a fabulous...
Wabbit, you're gonna hear about your lunch suggestion once you clean out your damn PM box! I'd say something here, but Martin called a halt so I'll not retort here and get banned. LOL
Okay, so I'm not much into Samurai's and such... didn't recognize the the name. Thanks, for enlightening me. :)
I was born in California (Sierra Madre in LA), grew up in Kansas and Colorado, and moved here in 1990. Oh, and my best friend lives in Jonesboro, which is about next door to you. :D
Never even heard of it. What's is about, so far?

I tend to wait until games have been out for awhile, or else put them on a wish list and receive them as gifts. But, once in awhile, I will go out and purchase something "hot" on my own, and pack a lunch for the next month to pay for it. LOL
Oh yeah, I had one of those too. Backed off a balcony once and fell about 10 feet. I saw the floor of the balcony at eye level before I blacked out -- talk about freaky! Don't know how I didn't break something that time.
Not to go and get morbid here, but the only reason I stopped playing Morrowind was because I was playing it when my husband had his heart attack. I couldn't get his screams of pain out of my head whenever I sat down to try and play again. Thank goodness I'd already completed the "main" mission...
What an amazing heritage! I'm sorry you're finding it uncomfortable to deal with, but don't ever lose that pride in having had ancestors (and parents!) that defied the social morres and stirred up the pot a bit more. Having ancestors that are either German, English, or Irish, I obviously...
