Isabell - Please let me know how you like the series as you progress through it. I am very interested. We should have a special thread devoted to this series, imo.
The Outlander Series by Diana Gabauldon. There are 6 books in the series. The last has just been published in the last year (A Breath of Snow and Ashes). I have read this series twice! I swear, it's the best. You will fall in love with the characters, the country, everything. If you love...
I just went to see the ballet performed by Brandywine Ballet Company at West Chester University and it was AWSOME! Thing is, I never realized that Dracula was really a love story, at least that was the interpretation in the ballet. So now I will have to read the book. Usually I read the book...
Desperate Houswives is not on my TV viewing list this season. I lost interest in it after the last season. It's old and boring already. I've decided anything with the word "Desperate" in it is not for me. But 2 shows I will never miss are Criminal Minds and Prison Break. When the...

Movie rented for today: The Virgin Suicides. I hated the book. Thought I would give the movie a shot.
Last movie seen in theatres: Step Up. It was great. :) The dancing is...

I also love Steinbeck. My first read of his was East of Eden Wonderful. But then I wanted more Steinbeck so I read Grapes of Wrath. Wow!! Absolutely loved it. I think he is a Naturalist writer similiar to Pearl S. Buck. His writing style is so full of images. I just had to rent the movies...
