I read "The Secret LIfe of Bees" in the Emergency room last night. Fabulous book. SInce my last post I've also finished The Lost Continent and I'm a Stranger Here Myself. Both by Bill Bryson.
I started counting the day I joined this forum, and since September 9, I've finished 11 books. I've probably read thousands though. When I was a kid I would read 4-5 books a day at times.
I'm a library girl. Our financial situation right now is not great, and I just can't justify buying books. Though when I win gift certificates at work, they're always to a book store!
I find out this afternoon if I got a big promotion (part time to full time) at work. It would be an extra 600 bucks a month coming into the house, and put me on a really good path towards where I want to be with the company eventually. Wish me luck.

I just finished Don't Eat This Book a few days ago, and have read both Fat Land and Fast Food Nation. I thought Spurlock's book was interesting, and quite funny, though no where near as hard hitting as Supersize Me, or either of the other books either.
You finish a book at 3 am, you work at 8, and you still fire up the computer (which was turned off to save hyrdro) to chance you're currently reading thing, and post about the book in the "just finished" thread.
The pleasure that I get from talking about money is mostly that I enjoy helping people. My friends are mostly graduating university and entering the work world in the next year or so, and they don't know a damn thing about mortgages, RRSP's, Investing. It's nice to be able to answer those...
