My only worry with a non read-only forum is that it would turn into a slanging match with various people saying things like "this is crap..", but I'll consider it if enough people want it that way.
(Lies, I thought that just "Darren" seemed more friendly and approachable.)
Rogue, I'll take a look at the library later today. It's probably a software error, so it won't be something the mods can sort out.
I've been away for a while so that's why it hasn't been dealt with earlier.
Darren.
Given that we've had to ban a couple of people recently, and there has been the predicatable "why...?" thread, do members want a public "hall of shame" forum where we post details of those who have been banned?
The forum would be read-only and only viewable by members. Guests wouldn't have...
I remember starting the Jedi Academy trilogy, but I honestly can't remember if I finished it :o I think Anderson may have been the death of my Star Wars Extended Universe reading!
I do remember that he included a major reference to one of the graphic novels . I'd always considered the graphic...
I've just watched this. It's amazing for a fan movie! I found a review site that says they spent $20,000 to make it, and a lot of that was for the camera.
Sure, the story is a bit off, and the acting made me cringe at times, but the effects are nothing short of spectacular. As the director...
We saw ROTS on Friday, and I've got mixed feelings about it. I loved Star Wars as a kid, but I've been disappointed by the new films. Of all the new prequel films, I think ROTS is the best, but overall ESB is my favourite.
I watched the original Star Wars ANH last night on DVD, and I much...
Thanks for the info. I've got a copy of The Revenge of the Sith, but was holding off reading it until I'd seen the film. Now I've seen the film, I'll read it. I've been told it adds quite a bit to the film.
Darren.
Anyone read/reading the Star Wars novels? I read the Zahn ones when they came out in 1991, but I haven't read any of the others since then.
There seems to be loads of them now. Are they any good? Where's a good place to start?
Do they all fit together in the overall story, or are there...
I support Martin's decision to lock that thread after his reply. It wasn't a decision he made on his own, he did discuss it with some of the other moderators who were online at that time.
We're not going to have a public flogging. What Martin did was wrong and it will be dealt with.
No. It hasn't been discussed recently. With all that's been going on recently it slipped my mind completely.
The options:-
Turn off image code in sigs.
All image code as it is now.
Limit image sizes (I'll need to check if this is possible with vBulletin).
I'm open to futher suggestions...
I'll step in and post my response. I didn't post my response straight away as I wanted to read a lot of what has been happening during my absence, as well as dealing with a large number of PMs from both sides of the fence.
The short answer is that there are no official moderator guidelines...
I think we should now wait to here what Martin has to say about this matter. Whether he chooses to respond in public is his decision. I stand by my view that this matter should first have been discussed privately so that you could ascertain the full facts before posting this.
I won't be...
That's not what your thread title is saying. It's sensationalist, misleading and liablous to this site. You've found some discrepancies in the review of one member, who is also a moderator you have been openly antagonistic towards.
Novella, if I genuinely believed that you had TBF's best...
