    Reading bestsellers

I think this depends mainly on "why" you are reading in the first place. If you are reading for a life changing experience or proclaim that you actually understand a new genius writer who is able to break the rules of writing poetically and masterfully, then you are reading to learn, to expand...

    Walk The Line

Does your philosophy also the same with non-musician biography movies such as Patton? There is plenty of war footage of Patton...mostly staged and posed for raising moral back at home. Even though I consider Walk The Line a one timer, (I will watch it only once), I liked this movie…simply for...

The king book I most enjoyed would have to be the stand. The movie would be the Shining with jack nicholson, even though King never liked this adaptation of his book.

What do you pay for gas?

I have a four wheel drive Chevy silverado I drive sometimes when I need to drive a truck. I filled it up yesterday...$62.00, and I had a little less than a 1/4 of a tank when I started to fill. This was at $2.78 a gallon. I drive this vehicle very seldom, usually when I go camping, in the...

    Easter Dinner

Every year we have about the same menu... top of the list is a Honey Baked spiral cut ham (mmmm!), leg of lamb, mashed potatoes, gravy, broccoli casserole and green beans. Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter are the three times of the year I throw caution to the wind and eat a lot of artery...

    Favorite Line(s) from a movie?

A few quotes from one of my favorite movies" 1. Do you spend time with your family? Good. Because a man that doesn't spend time with his family can never be a real man. 2. It's a Sicilian message. It means Luca Brasi sleeps with the fishes. 3. In Sicily, women are more dangerous...

    Stephen King: Cell

I enjoyed this book for what it was...an entertaining story that gave me a few days sojourn from reality. Not his best and not his worst, but good enough to entertain my feeble mind.

Where to start with Stephen King?

The dead zone Christine the stand I like most of his stories...he can be a little windy on description at times and has problems finishing some of his stories...but he is an easy read and spins a pretty good yarn.

new meaning: to kill a mockingbird

This is a crazy coincidence...I have a couple of blackbirds that are nesting in the circulation vent leading from my master bathroom adjacent to my bedroom, and they have been keeping me awake for a couple of days now. I had a screen covering the vent opening, but the noisy bast**** worked...
