I'd agree with this: the library got me hooked. But now that I'm a full-fledged bookaholic, I want to own all books. The ones I've read, the ones I'm thinking about reading, the ones I like the look of, and so on, and all the others. Basically, I want to own, and read, all books. I want the...
I'm looking forward to this one, although this and The Big Over Easy are in another series than the Thursday Next books, though they're very much related. Why don't all books come in paperback right away? (I know why, but I'm cheap  )

When ppl say they like my tattoo I try to remember to say "I agree" rather than "Thank you" - so: I agree!
Scottishduffy: Yours sounds really interesting, looking forward to it.
Aha! Thanks!

I thought about it for ages (29 years even, maybe), but then it didn't hurt as much as I'd expected, and I haven't regretted it for a second (of about two years). I told the tattooist I wanted a wandering wolf under a new moon, and he drew it free-hand.

And here he is in the...
I agree with any and all praise for Fforde.
I've also read Aberystwyth mon amour; it was good & clever fun but not as brilliantly genius as Fforde (superlatives, anyone?;) ). But I will read the sequel, because I think what I had against it was mostly first-novel not-quite-there-yet things...
My reading ruts, or book slumps, usually last a couple of weeks. The only thing to do, I find, is (after a break, or reading "trash" or non sequiturs) to find the right book to break the slump. Unfortunately, it is totally unpredictable just which is the right book... :o But in every slump I...
There's no chocolate brown font colour? Weird, considering the new design ;) Let it be read that my favourite candy is chocolate, chocolate and chocolate. My preferred bar has 72% cocoa with crushed cocoa beans. I am also working on a cake that will mix a dark chocolate sticky cake with a white...
While I think you're absolutely right, I also think a lot of people will fall for this one, and so I want to be first! :p I change my desktop often, but these are my two (!) most recent ones (jus' the pix):
My nephew in Mom's garden

(I just got towels for my birthday! Now: which colour for thursday?...)
I am a total sucker for Westerns, so far mostly in movies, but I'll be going through this thread meticulously to see which books might be had in Sweden (I do not have high hopes :o )... Meanwhile, here's my input:
The Dark Tower-series by Stephen King - not for fundamentalists, but Roland of...
The functions now seem to be the same as they've always been (which is good) (as far as I've seen) (I guess I have the right screen resolution too) - - - and the colour scheme is... well... That 70's show! Ergo: That's cool... Whatever... ;)

Yeah, but that won't work when the incompetent owns the place, can't be promoted away any further, and the place is so small there's no way to stop him damaging the company... :p
But as to the results of the poll so far, the odds look good! ;)
