Kristo, I'm with you on the Harry Potter series. It seems silly, as you say, to pick something so obvious, but honestly it's brilliant and I have just loved it so far.
I am about 3/4 of the way through Cuckoo's Nest. This is a wonderful book. McMurphy may be one of the "great characters". I just love his mood swings, hilarious comments, brilliant conniving, empathy with the other patients.

I don't really like my username. People often try to "pronounce it" plus it's way too long. It's a combo of my profession and the first letters of my dog's names. I'd really like to change it.

What an interesting question!!! I guess these would be books that you just didn't want to end, or books that changed an opinion or a viewpoint so that re-reading them would be a completely different experience.
