abc: Thanks so much for the effort! I'm printing your list and will be sure to check out your "recommendeds". Perhaps you will post your list again when you complete your journey? I'm sure others would like to benefit from your efforts as much as I.
Thanks again!
Abecedarian. I was wondering; could you indulge us with a list of what you've read for the challenge so far and give us a thumbs up or down? I've been following your thread for a while and have followed many of the links and lists of recommendations from others but I was hoping you might...
The Girl in the Swing - Richard Adams.
An erotic ghost story (by the author of Watership Down). Can't say enough about this book! I read it in about 36 hours. Very suspensful. Beautifully written.

I really prefer silence. Luckily my house is pretty quite and I'm fortunate enough to have my own office. If hubby wants to watch TV I can go hide in there.
I buy most all of my books on Amazon, maybe 90% of all book purchases. I buy new but also used and often from third parties. I really prefer hardcover to soft and I get really good deals on used hard covers that way. I've experienced only the rare shipping delay and since my TBR pile is so...
No I don't think that it's necessary to read a companion book. I didn't and I was pretty young when I read it. However, I will concede that you may have a deeper understanding and perhaps, pick up on some of the subtle references if you do read one. Either way, it's a truly great book and you...
