You say that like it's a bad thing. Thank you. Nice to be seen. RaVeN

    Formal Introduction

Hi FAB, I've pretty much given up on welcoming people around here because they tend to use me up and spit me out. If you promise not to spit me out, maybe I can get Wabbit to share some of his tumble weed. RaVeN

    Antonio Banderas and Chocolate

Are you seriously asking me if I'm attracted to Puss n Boots? Next question. RaVeN

The Internet Top 100 SF/Fantasy List

I'm not sure if you understood what I was trying to convey. They've never been published in the English language. RaVeN

The Internet Top 100 SF/Fantasy List

I'm curious about the series that ranks #5 on the list; The Wieddzman (Witcher) stories by Andrzej Sapkowski. For a series of 8 books to be ranked so high and not be published in English is very disappointing. RaVeN

    America being ridiculous...again

I agree with Freya. Stroke, stroke, stroke. But you did suck 'em in. If you build it, they will come. RaVeN

    Our own Big Read

When I was 6 I was diagnosed with polio. My parents were told that I would never walk again. I have few memories of it except for being in pain, and getting out of bed one day and falling on my face because my legs didn't work. (that explains a few things, huh? ;) ) I wish I knew the name...

    Happy Birthday Raven!!!

Thank you Kaz, and all the rest. I had a great time this week. I took it off work because, well, who enjoys working on their birthdays? I just arrived home after putting about 1200 miles on my car over the last few days. I drove to Missouri & back to see friends & future family. I spent a...

Happy belated Birthday Stella, Sorry I wasn't here for the Grand event. Glad to have you with us again, though I haven't missed your ninja ass. (I've got pretty good aim ) :p Take care, RaVeN

    Happy Birthday Raven!!!

Thank you, but actually I do some of my best whittling in the shower. And thank you Martin. It's still before midnight here though. If you hurry you can make it in time to watch me whittle. :D RaVeN

Gabriel García Márquez: One Hundred Years of Solitude

So many books, so little time

Thank you and curse you very much! :p First off, it looked very interesting. Then I noted that there were 8 books in the series (so far). What's the name of this thread again? But the topper was, after doing a search on abebooks & ebay it appears they aren't out in hardback? Or am I...

Gabriel García Márquez: One Hundred Years of Solitude

That's one of the hardbacks that I plan on treating myself to this week. (happy b-day to me) Do you all realize how bloody expensive it is to track down some of the recommendations I've seen around here in hardback? If they would just re-release some of them I'd save a flippin mint. RaVeN

So many books, so little time

I wouldn't be able to keep myself to one author either. But if you gave me E.A.Poe & Sir A.C.Doyle, I could content myself for quite some time. I've seen this Butcher fellow pop up quite a bit of late. Any recommendations on what works of his to start with? RaVeN

    Happy Birthday Raven!!!

Thanks Ash, and my best to the wolfhound at home. RaVeN (who would give his left HobNob to see you in that slinky red dress) :D
