I give this series very high marks. Hillerman doesn't slack on the research and is backed by the native american community.
The Bookman series by John Dunning is quite good as well. It's about an ex-cop turned bibliophile. And the author is an ex-bookstore owner (and book scout) , so he knows...
Sorry to wander off topic for a short, but cajunmama, I noticed what you are currently reading. I read Jennifer Niven's Ice Master a while back and almost picked up Ada Blackjack a few months ago. Are you finding it interesting so far?

It shouldn't bother you too much. It's sprinkled throughout, but not an every page occurrence.
For those interested, you can check out JonathanStrange.com.
It has a discussion area and FAQ.

Irene, Irene, Irene...it's obvious that Mr O doesn't need any help in defending his personal attire. Why should he have to hide behind your skirt when he has plenty of his own to choose from?
Sorry Martin, usins in Possum Ridge just don't know no better.

May I suggest instead, Billy O, that you could try out for a small part in The Nutcracker Suite.......a very small part. :p
I like the epics, so my list would include:
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Dances With Wolves
Braveheart
Gladiator
Journey to the Center of the Earth...
I don't usually have 2 books going at the same time. King Rat, I've left at my job and read it durring breaks. Hobb's book I've kept at home and read before bed. That said, I'm only 100 pages into it but am enjoying Fitz as he starts coming into his own.
I think I'm going to like it. :D...
And if I may, a loving Birthday wish to my niece, Shari.
She reminds somewhat of RainbowGurl. An idealist that wrote poems filled with unicorns, rainbows and peace.
This is her 33rd birthday.
I love and miss you Shari.
Rest in peace.
Your Uncle Bill
