Cussler is a good author, he is an entertaining read and he definitely fits the bill of "page turner." He's not in my pantheon of "favorite" though-he doesn't dare come and sit at the table with me, Dostoyevsky, Turgenev, and Steinbeck. :)
don't sweat it, it's all good.
the mother of those guys is something else......can't wait for her to explain how her boy in the boat shooting back at cops is innocent.....waiting eagerly. :)
Oh Polly, just thought I'd add a little noir. The site is one of the "big" noir sites around. His last book was an amazon top 100 lister and he is up for an award for this short story. I've run into him a time or two, one good guy.
Dude, just playing off of Sparky's comment. If anything, we both should be ticked at him. That's o.k., he's just smarting over the whole Yorktown thing and how we should have let the syphilitic inbred royal have his way on taxes. :p

Feeling Good is one that is widely used by therapists and psychologists. I learned of it as it was a required read for one of the four counseling classes that I took before I veered towards education. Best of luck to you.

I was young when it came out, but I know that my grandfather was a huge fan of it and that he had a subscription for years. I always liked the section that covered the leading story in all fifty states, not to mention the interesting charts or pie graphs at the bottom of the front page...or at...
While I hope such events are aberrations, another part of me wonders if this isn't some "new normal" for us from here on out. Granted, it's not as bad as London facing IRA attacks in the '80s, but it still makes me fearful of what the future holds.
Vanities is a good book, it gets you rollin as soon as the couple takes the wrong turn. Tom Wolfe didn't make as deep of a social comment in regards to wealth and inequality, he just skewers his targets endlessly, perhaps that is his biggest point. I've been meaning to read I am Charlotte...
It was a required read in college and for some reason, I could wrap my head around the likes of William James, but just couldn't "get" it. After I graduated, I must have started and stopped at least five or six times. I was very busy at the time and my heart was only half into it. I finally...
