Absolutely. WHen I buy a book, I look at the cover, I read the back and then I read the first sentences. If they're not good I'll just put the book back on the shelf.
Charles de Lint writes really great short stories, and some of them feature the Crow Girls. I haven't read any of those stories myself, but I believe those girls turn themselves into crows and fly. Check out Tapping the Dream Tree!
Eh, not really. BUT - we're above zero now. It's actually 5 degrees!! And the snow has finally turned into rain! And the ice covering Gothenburg is finally melting , so I'm rather pleased. Although 10 degrees and sun sounds like heaven!
I can't just choose one, but the three best ones were: Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke, The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova and The Onion Girl by Charles de Lint. All three of these books mix the real and ordinary with the magically extraordinary. Very recommended reading!

Tidy, I cleaned it yesterday! But it can get pretty messy too :)
What do you prefer - the majestic wildness of the ocean or the calm serenity of a small lake?
I don't want to scare or upset astralKnight or any other man on this forum, but as it turns out, women are individuals with many different thoughts and interest. I know, it sounds crazy, but there you have it! ;)
