I love reading a good story that takes me away with it, but that's not why I read. I read to sharpen my mind and explore new (and sometimes old) ideas. I feel I learn a lot from fiction especially - learning to see the world from a new point of view is so rewarding.
I haven't read the book yet, but I hate the movie growing up! Now that I'm older, it might be interesting to revisit. I'll add that to my To Read List.
We read:
Animal Farm
1984
A Separate Peace
The Merchant of Venice
Hamlet
Romeo and Juliet
Julius Caesar
The Pearl
That's all the required reading I can remember.
I plan on finishing the Hitchhikers series and reading the first Thomas Covenant book this summer. I started both ages ago, but I haven't had much reading time yet this year.
I think it really depends on the artist. For example, I can only take Barbra Streisand in very small dose... But listening to her in concert is incredible! My favourite artist is Garou, and while I *like* is studio albums, I *love* listening to his live albums. Some artists really know how to...

Well, she was more of a rescue than a find to be honest. She was playing with cars in the parking lot at work... not a smart kitty.... So I took her home. No one claimed her so now she's mine. :)
I'd actually really like to read this book. I think the porn industry is despicable, but it would be interesting to hear the thoughts of someone on the inside.
I'll ready anywhere I can, but I don't have a favourite place. Between my dog, cat, husband and cell phone, any place that's quiet and all my own is my favourite for the moment.
I haven't really been following this case. I love the Harry Potter books but I've made it a point to not read up too much on my favourite authours because they usually disappoint and then spoil their stories for me. That being said, she spent years imaging every detail of the Harry Potter...
