I'm going to buy it! It was a fun movie, nothing spectacular, and it didn't exactly do credit to Cussler's books and characters, but the movie was fun.
So Martin, has this thread answered your question yet?
It sure answered mine! Here's the conclusion: The Book Forum has been over-run by children (no offense to those of you under the age of 18 - you aren't the children I mean!).
It's time we all grow up now and graduate from kindergarten...
I leave the computer turned off for 2 days, and the whole TBF world turns topsy-turvy!
First of all, thank you Martin for bringing this topic up. It's been bothering me for a while now too.
I realize I'm as guilty as anyone, but these are the problems as I see them:
1) This forum is no longer...
I read Spinners and Sirena a few years back... I didn't like them very much, but I don't think I was old enough when I read them. She has some very mature themes as I recall.
I know exactly how you feel. Until I met my present boyfriend, I didn't think men were even human! I'd been so hurt and used, I almost gave up on them altogether. I figured I was at the height of my worldly wisdom (only 18 yrs old), and I refused to believe any stories or advice anyone gave me...
The argument has nothing to do with Kobe. It has to do with your statements that generalized and degraded the entire female population.
And until this day, I never considered myself a feminist! I always thought it was all a bunch of rot. Now I see why women are so adamant!
