Who is your favourite author, and why?

New favorite is Thomas W. Young. He writes modern war thrillers that are pretty violent but realistic and quick paced.

Ah, so more of a classics type fan. Audiobooks are awesome. They allow you to do more than one thing at a time.

    Hello

I think Sarah J. Maas sort of started that way. I'm not finished reading her book Throne of Glass, but apparently it's got a lot of online fans. Welcome.

How to save a life by Sara Zarr.... decent overall, but unless it was part of a book club, I don't think I'd recommend it to any teens I know. Face of Betrayal... typical Triple Threat murder mystery. Chick-lit sort of mystery.

When is the next Way of Kings book coming out? Yeah, 1200 pgs is very, very long. I heard it as an audio...unabridged and I think it had like 36 cds or something like that. Cool. Let me know what you think of it as you move along. I got the boxed set too b/c it was so reasonably priced.

    Brandon Sanderson

Way of Kings is way longer than the mistborn series, book for book anyway. (As a trilogy Mistborn would be longer, so if you consider it one story, then I guess it's longer) Personally, I liked Mistborn better, but I've heard Way of Kings on audio and enjoyed that too. They're different. I...

    Hunger Games - Movie

They came across as too ridiculous to take seriously...which I think hurt their ability to seem scary. It's like a munchkin from the Wizard of Oz brandishing a butter knife at you.

Paolo Bacigalupi is decent. Not quite sure if he joins my favorite list, but Ship Breaker was interesting.
