I guess you could say that. I enjoy some brainless things like Evanovich fare and some popular YA stuff like Hunger Games. Can't wait for that movie.

I think reading Narnia and movies LOTR....mostly becuase the LOTR movies are way better than the Narnia movies...though those are ok.

Back in the day, I used to read a lot of Star Wars fiction. Now I've gotten pretty picky with them because they made a lot of the plot lines pretty stinky. Killed off or made stupid the best characters in the whole expanded universe. Besides that, I read some fantasy...mostly by Brandon...

Alloy of Law isn't as great as regular Mistborn trilogy, but it's good in its own way.

I tend to prefer short, but if I'm paying $20 for something, it had better be worth it. Long for sake of long is very bad...long for sake of developing a decent plot and characters is good.

Sanderson is very good. I've only read Mistborn series and the sort of standalone Alloy of Law...but that's billed as a Mistborn novel. I heard Way of Kings on audio cd. I'm more into star wars books, or I was at least. They got stupid recently.
