Hello there, I'm brand spanking new!

I've only recently gotten into twitter....short thoughts there. Long posts are cool. Nice to meet you. Parenthesis are neat...handy things.

Hi Kirstin, thanks for the pronunciation thing...I'm terrible with that. Hope you stick around. Solid intro. Driving a limo sounds hard.

Ha, did you reclaim it? During class? *gasp* I think my little teacher heart just seized :-P Kidding, I'm sure you do fine. Inspiration can strike at strange times.

Is the poem book okay? Have you considered typing out some of your poems? That might make it easier to preserve them.

    Writers: The Person /Persona Quotient

I don't know all that much about Card's personal views...I've just heard tell that he's rather arrogant. *shrug* never did any research on the man.

What type of fantasy do you read?

What is the definition of High Fantasy? I've only read one Weiss and Hickman book (and it bored me...so I guess I'm not too much of a high fantasy fan)

    Writers: The Person /Persona Quotient

I tend not to know much about specific writers....so I don't run across the problem a lot, but I think it would bother me. I'm with Meadow though... never liked Dickens much anyway. As for Card. Ender's Game was awesome, beyond that most of his works are just meh.

What does your avatar mean & why did you choose it?

No problem. Should be an interesting mini-glance into people's psyches :p My current avatar is the cover of my most recent writing project to be put before the public eye. I used to go with a little thumbnail thing somebody had made for me as part of writing/ participating in a fantasy forum...

    Writing software

I may try Scrivner someday, but right now, I'm still stuck one the convenience of my old, faithful word program...and not even the "new" one.

Should poetry writer pay for reviews

A lot of poetry "contests" have reading fees to enter, but I guess then you just have to look at the general reputation of the contest. In general, paying for a review isn't a good idea.

Looking for Publishers - Epic Fantasy Literature.

Amazon has some nice self publishing options. Just another option. The P & E site is very good. Also great for vetting agents.

What type of fantasy do you read?

I prefer YA fantasy. Icemark Chronicles by Stuart Hill comes to mind. Brandon Sanderson's got a lot of great books too. I enjoyed the Mistborn trilogy and the spinoff book written after that. I think that's more character driven stuff.

Guessing this is where I should've first wrote...

I didn't know there was autocorrect either. Um, just be careful with that sort of thing....it isn't perfect. Sometimes teachers need to draw out the quiet ones, but the ones brave enough to always offer an answer are also a blessing.

Hi' Can anybody recommend any good Thriller/Suspense books?

I actually prefer Kathy Reichs, but Cornwell's all right.

What do you use as a bookmark?

I once found a dollar somebody had used as a book mark. Can't say I recommend that though.

Guessing this is where I should've first wrote...

Oh I hope I have a lot of students this year who can say "I love science!" An online writing group might be a good place to start. For a while, I was writing for a forum like website called Legends of Mernac. Although they were usually just character sketches, it was good fun and training...
