I hadn't played boardgames for years (we do play dice and card games often) until recently my 10yr old son developed an interest in them, so the last year or so we've played a lot of Clue, Scrabble, Monopoly, Life, Sorry, Battleship, Upwords, Pictionary and a few non-board games like Boggle...
I agree with all you said, and some I like to read just because they are often discussed and it's nice to have read them myself just to be able to join in the discussions. I put a copy of this list on my blog here to keep track of what I've read on it because I think it's rather a convenient...
I have read 65 of those books and I have about twice that many on my TBR shelf from the list, I also started maybe 10 of the list and didn't like or finish them.

Yes, Myers Dark is probably my favorite fave.
So now I'm wondering if I should invite this gal I sorta know but not really to our drinking fest this weekend, she seemed kinda down today and like she could use a fun time but my neighbors and I tend to get pretty rowdy and I don't know if we'd...
No I don't think I have, lately I've been getting all kinds of weird brands of liquor from the German store up the road but they have some good dark rums.
