To be honest,i getting use to it and mostly deserves it.Somehow it seems i alway check the wrong words for spelling.I'm amazed at the patience of people with my posts(though some must be boiling inside).
As for miss-world-Stinson,the only thing i can say is that...
I got those a while ago but my killjoy of brother told me they were not very good.So i put them on hold.
Some enthusiame from someone here might rekindle it.
I don't think i did.The one i read the boat was made of coconut tree and vines of sort.Not nails or metalic parts.Very impressive.
I think he specialize in old technic of ship building and then travels on them.The most amazing is that he is still alive to tells about it after all these years!
You have to be carefull ABC.Try one first.I did that with Simon Scarrow books about the legion,baught 3 of them and could hardly finish the first...But Tim Severin should not be a desapointement.
I just got Corsair and plan to read it next.
I remenber a passage in one his book(non fiction)where they find,after week of hardship at sea, the Indian cook washing his feet in their main cooking pot....:D
Hard to summerize without revealing the end.
One of those book,short(little more than 100 pages) but full of meaning and where the final make one reconsider the all story,giving it even pore weight.
Perfectly mastered and with efficent and beautifull prose.
Conrad play the role of the friend...
At the end of the audio book,there was an interview of the Author.He explain that what triggered the idea of a ex-slave owning slave was something he read about a jew joining the nazi parti.The all book revolving around a that paradoxe.

Terribly true,but can't think of a single fantasy book thatwould survive the test.
I could be easely done with thrillers and mystery.

The only one i ever used is The French Pocket Cookbook
by Ginette Mathiot.I don't know if you heard of it,it's simple,a bit like a dictionary.My wife has plenty of the Darina Allen an Irish Cook with big red glasses.
Funny you metion it Libra,because it is what braught to mind Hundred years of solitude were there is also dirt eating in the begining(if i remenber well).The way the tale is told also,a saga with the life description of every charateres to forme an all comprehensive story.
