I hate when people give a one-star review for reasons other than the product's quality (especially since Amazon has discussion areas for all their goods). This happened to Stephen King's latest book since it wasn't released to Kindle. Granted, I'd probably be annoyed if I had a Kindle, but not...
The Thin Red Line. Such gorgeous cinematography. Out of all the many big-name stars, Nick Nolte and Sean Penn gave the strongest performances.
Last Tango in Paris. I just don't know about this one. I certainly don't regret watching it, I can say that much.
Thank you for getting this thread back on topic. And yeah, I didn't like The Ninth Gate very much either. I found it to be dull.
Back to movies about books, the main characters in You've Got Mail own bookstores. I don't know how often they discuss books since I haven't seen it.
The Kids Are All Right. The story had promise but was let down by a shaky script. The filmmakers would raise an issue and never explore it fully. The acting, though, was flawless. Annette Bening was especially great.

This was my first Bosch book. From what I remember, the mystery was good but certain parts felt underwritten (mainly the scenes with Harry's love interest). Maybe COB would have had more impact if I read earlier installments.
Directed by Cary Fukunaga (last year's Sin Nombre). Mia Wasikowska, as the poster below tells you, plays Jane :D.

Hmm, I like the hints of Gothic atmosphere this trailer has. The Suspiria music was unexpected to hear but it works.
I enjoyed Garp. Irving did a great job with the characters; at first I hated Garp then began to change that opinion as the novel ended. Admittedly I did skip over much of his stories and novel excerpts. I realize their importance to the plot but I was too invested in the main story to trudge...
