Oooh oooh this looks promising. :)
Unfortunately I had to do a double take on the name because it was uncannily close to the name of an infamous, generously (artificially) endowed Hong Kong actress in the 90s.

It is indeed. I recently saw that the app was up for an update in the Play Store, I got curious, updated it, and it still worked! So all's well and good.
'Re-prioritizing' is a word I use maybe a little too often at work. :)
"What happened to so-and-so's document?"
"I was too busy, and I needed to re-prioritize."
"Yeah? Well, what about so-and-so? Did you reply his email?"
"It was re-prioritized."
"What about the training next week?"...
I read lots on a lot of devices, and I have to say reading on backlit screens is tough on the eyes. I still do it though because I have lots of .epubs and .mobis hanging around.
Aaaaand speaking of PaperWhites....
Shouldn't the Paperwhite allow tapping to turn pages instead of just swiping? Swiping is no fun. I read lots on my Galaxy S3, and while the swiping is sexy and cool, it gets old (and very tiring) after about 5 minutes. So thank goodness all my ebook/comics reading apps all allow tapping to move...
Nice! I'm not familiar with In the Shadow of No Towers, so you've got to tell me if that's good. I don't think I've seen that around here.
Btw, Meadow/Peder, my Qiu Xiaolong is A Case of Two Cities. I usually prefer to start at the very first book of any series, but I hadn't realized this was...
That's what I'm doing now, digging up dead and buried threads and giving it new life. Even if it's just to say 'I will read this'. :D
I'm the necromancer. If I can revive an 8 year old thread, then I can revive a thread that's only dead for 1 year! And this is a discussion about Death, how...
SFG, c'mon man, a kindle will block the view of the road! That's too big and it's dangerous! It's better to read on your mobile while driving. You'll have to squint a little and look away from the road, but you'll be better served with a larger viewing angle when you look up and have to make...
This is one of those books where it's not really required to be read in context, unlike books like Age of Innocence and The Great Gatsby. Well, not entirely. The style may need some getting used too if the primary diet for the reader is contemporary fiction, but not by very much, methinks.
Polly! Arrgh! Now you've done it!!! :)
I have asked my friend to get the Paperwhite for me. I'm hoping a) that she'll find it in her schedule to do it, and b) it will make my morning coffee for me.
Not using Windows 8, but surprising so many people dislike it. I suppose I will have to live with it for a while to find out. I tried out the Release Candidate way back when, and thought it was novel to change things around. I'm with Peder in this, that change is pretty much inevitable, so may...
