You know, I kinda wondered why there wasn't a discussion on this, and it's already Jan. It's only when I saw your message that I actually checked the dates on the posts above. My bad. :)
I need to jog my memory on this book, which I read way before I started journalling (see how useful that is...
The Truth About Diamonds, Nicole Ritchie.
Oh, you mean not that kind of 'star'? Well.
Maybe non-fiction? Packing for Mars by Mary Roach talks about advancement in space exploration that moves us towards a landing in Mars. Plenty of interesting tidbits, and one of my favourite parts is NASA's...
Wozniak did not like the movie Jobs at all. It wasn't really based on Isaacson's book.
But I did hear good things about the movie from a friend, but not good reviews online.
I'm a little confused by Buffy. I'm unsure why it's so popular, and loved even by people whose tastes I respect, and won't pick up 'fluff'. I suppose I should dive in and discover myself, but the idea of loving a teenager charged with protecting a city which is for some reason the focal point of...
psnovel, write electronically! :) No one can pry that way!
My resolutions have nothing at all to do with book-reading, but really to get closer to friends near and far, and to start doing the things I love more and more. More action, less words!

I do my 'speed-reading' in the car, where I listen to audiobooks at 3x speed. Surprisingly, while that seems like a complete waste of a good audiobook, in reality it is actually very enjoyable, losing almost none of the experience (the exception being when you're listening to a sf/fantasy...
Well, if you put it that way.
Anyway I slept through the stroke of midnight, so I missed fireworks, and I was told there were some by my son (who was supposed to be sleeping!).
Oh didn't you know? There's a new genre of books that selling like wildfire! They call it the teen-angst-sparkling-vampire scene of 2014 - the amateur book review compilation! I'm going to scan my book reviews and sell it as an Amazon Kindle Single, and get rich.
You just have to write about a page or so of your thoughts, not a full review. Just keep it simple. My original journal only has space for about 30 lines of text, and since I don't write in long hand (well, not all the time), I just put in my thought and poof! Gone. Then you're scribbling on the...
Ban on fireworks???? NOOOOO!!!!
Actually, the ones that goes up high in the sky are fine (as long as you're not directly beneath them, because the fine ashes fall on you, etc). The ones that are lighted up by kids and spins on the floor and stuff - those are a little more dangerous, although I...
My Christmas, was, uhm, horrible. But my New Year a little better. My little (and only) one just started school this morning (I think the equivalent of Grade 7 in the States), a surreal experience.
I just wanted to do a quick update on this. I keep an online book blog, but I hardly ever update it (although I'm writing more on it now). However, I religiously keep my book journal incredibly updated.
Since I last wrote on this, I can say that in a year I had completed the first book...
