I do! But then since I buy books primarily on recommendations and infamy, I typically know already what I'm getting into regardless of cover. Covers influence my impulse buys - books that I'm not familiar with, by authors I've never heard of.
I recently bought Fortunately, The Milk and I had...
Ok, finally checking the website, and no, the spoiler tag remains not working. But it works on the mobile app. Hmm... I believe you can do something with the HTMLs, right Brent?
Still a crime. Will probably murder you a little slower, just to register my appreciation on another sale.

Yes, that's what I found when I tried a few of the chapters. Interesting, but so far not my cup of tea.

This is interesting discussion. While it isn't that I don't care what my son reads, I'm more concerned that he reads at all (for pleasure, I mean, not reading as a skill). He's 6, and he's juggling reading in 3 languages, so for me it's making sure he's not headed for a burnout (and it's not all...
I think this is a great idea, especially when combating prejudices. Judging a piece of work on its merits, not reputation. But wouldn't people who like books should be able to tell famous (or infamous) works pretty readily, even if they haven't read them, like even if one hadn't read Wuthering...

Wow, dude. Firstly, you forgot you read a GGK. That's a crime. Like murder.
Secondly, you're right, I suppose, in the larger scheme of things. It's just that sometimes I feel I should remember more than 'I liked it', or 'I hated it', or something equally ambivalent like that. But mostly it...
I've not read either yet, but Perec isn't a fly-by-night author, and he's pretty well known for his other works, especially Life, A User's Manual.
I was just checking Wikipedia, and found that he has another novel that uses words that only has the vowel 'e', called The Exeter Text: Jewels...
They are called gamebooks, and I have loads of them! :) The Choose Your Own Adventure series of books is probably one of the more famous ones, but there are plenty of these around, like the Fighting Fantasy series or the Lone Wolf books.
I found this really funny somehow. :D
I bought OatEotL yesterday, and I dug into it just now. Not far yet, but I find that it's a pretty well written one so far. I had several *I need to finish this bloody chapter* moments, so all is well so far.
He's usually very careful about what he reveals...
