How not to react to a bad review

beer good, I totally agree! the reviews are for the readers 1st and foremost, but any author should be interested in what they have to say, no matter who the reviewer is.

Would you read self-published material? Research Help...

free sample on books Annie, that is a great way to get a good feeling for the book and not waste your time! I hate paying good money for some thing I am disappointed in, and it does happen, esp. now that I belong to a book club and someone else recommends something I wouldn't pay for and/or...

    Looking for author suggestions

modern authors... in light of your choices, have you read anything by Cormac McCarthy? he has come up in other discussions lately, and altho my personal tastes do not lead me to read anything else he has done, you might enjoy McCarthy.

    e-Books Vs normal books..

ebook discussion what a great quote! I was one of those dragged into the ebook world because my nook was a gift from my son. now I use both the books and the ebooks and my reasons for doing so are largely the same as yours. I have found some books more reasonable to download, and others much...

is the good any good? hi C. Bob, in other words, is the Author any good??? every writer needs to be honest with themselves about that. people can love to sing or do a number of other things and still not be very good at it, right? also, have noticed many people have Great ideas, esp. in...

    e-Books Vs normal books..

have just read most of the posts all the way back to the beginning of this discussion - very interesting! my son dragged me into the 21st century last year giving me a nook. I am an old fashioned girl and belong in the group of "love the feel of a book." however, the ebook world has its place...

    Recently Finished

just finished All The Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy, not something I would have picked up, but it was for a book club. would give it about a 3.... rather sad, depressing, at times hard to follow, and at the end you think, "what was the point?" guess the author would say if I didn't get it...
