I'd recommend Twilight and it's sequel New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. Great stories about vampires set in Washington state. The third one just came out last week, too.
I'd also recommend Forever by Pete Hamill. It's about a man who lives for hundreds of years in New York - very cool. The only...
I read in bed, on my couch, on the living room couch, or in the car (not while I'm driving, though). I have also been known to read while walking, but I don't walk much anymore.
I read in bed kind of lounging. I also read on my couch with my feet up and stretched out. Or I read in my 'writing couch' with my feet curled under me. Come to think of it, I usually shift quite a bit while I'm reading but it's never bothered me.
I actually haven't read any of those, but I wish I had. Whether they're funny or not, I think you'll be glad you've got them under your belt. They're all on my list of books to read because I somehow missed them during my education.
I watched The Illusionist with my sisters a couple of weeks ago. I really loved this movie - I thought it was beautifully done and I liked that they did it all in an older style because it made it more interesting. Good flick.
I'm dying to see Transformers but my husband and I haven't gotten...
I re-read a lot. I go through phases where I re-read a book every summer, like Chronicles of Narnia, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Pride and Prejudice. For me, there is always something new because I'm a different person every time I read something. What I discovered in the Chronicles of Narnia...
My husband and I watched Crash a couple nights ago. Good flick - I really liked it. I picked it up because I'd heard so many great things about it, and although it was good, I don't know if it was that good. Maybe I just had high expectations going in...
Robert Jordan or Clive Cussler for me - I don't have the exact number for either, so I'm not sure. I'm not even close to being done with Cussler, either, so he'll probably win out in the end.
I have a wonderful library in my city so I haven't needed to buy books for a while. However, when I do, I usually buy them from Amazon. I've heard that Half.com is also a great place to get them, but I haven't used them before. Unline Choc, I have no problem seeing used and loved books on my...
I really like Ursula LeGuin's Earthsea series and I think it would be a great place to start for anyone getting into fantasy. They're relatively short and just beautifully written. I actually didn't read them until I was already a fantasy nut, but I wish I had read them earlier.
I just finished Forever by Pete Hamill. I thought it was a great book. It's a historical fiction with a little fantasy in it and I thought it worked really well. I wrote a post about it on my blog if you want to know more about it.
The Count of Monte Cristo is one of my favorite stories ever. I have to admit, I saw the movie first, but I'm glad I did because I can appreciate both the book and the movie that way. My husband loves the book and hates the movie because it was didn't follow the story. I have to agree that...
