I think it's wrong. But that's because I'm sickeningly holier-than-thou when it comes to morals. But I think the amount of legally free books, from Project Gutenberg and suchlike, makes it unecessary to download books illegally. I understand that newer books are not freely available to download...
You have fabulous feng shui
You are on the right feng shui track, and I'm sure you are seeing the benefits. You probably have respect and a decent job. Your love life is probably not so bad either.
Stay diligent about keeping the clutter away, keeping the functions of the rooms consistent...
I don't despise Dan Brown nearly as much as other members of this forum (the elitist ones ;)) but I do find it hard to imagine anyone reading both The Da Vinci Code and Angels and Demons. They are exactly the same book. I'd heard that of them prior to beginning the second of his I attempted...
Oh wow beer good, am checking out that album...
I found today's puzzle a bit dull. I plodded through most of it at a moderate pace, but took longer than I should over 6 ac (Cosmetic operation (8) = FACELIFT), and then became stuck on 5 dn (Not defective (8) = UNFAULTY, a rather ugly word...
Hmmm, well the first time I listened to the album, I liked those two tracks, and also Francia, the best. Now (whilst listening again to write the post) I might have changed my mind. Think Anglia is a bit too strange though, but Slovanska is okay. Nippon is growing on me...
Since late last year, I lost my entire music collection, both on and off my computer, and had to start again, this list is in no way complete.
Favourite Songs of 2006:
His Hands, Candi Staton (from 'His Hands' single)
Funny Little Frog, Belle and Sebastian (The Life Pursuit)
Lived in...
I buy lots and lots. I wish I didn't, and I desperately try not to, but I do. Some months probably as few as ten, some months I buy more than ten in any one day! I read probably 1% of them.
I, for a while, was a frequent poster on this forum; due to a number of reasons such as illness and not having a pc etc, I didn't post for a while and kinda realised this forum can, contrary to the beliefs of my own overinflated sense of self-importance, function extraordinarily well without me...
1. We Need to Talk About Kevin - Lionel Shriver
I thought this book was exceptionally thought-provoking. Admittedly, it was a little overlong, but touching, and it kept me captivating throughout. It was a recommendation from a friend whose book choices I trust, which meant I kept going despite...
That was very interesting, not least because I learnt (well, kind of worked out) what ascenders and descenders are, even if I will never remember half of those words. I like it. :)
I think that's kinda selfish, what about her book?
And besides, wouldn't you (general you, not personal you) surely get tired before working your way around them all?!
But the concept itself is not too terrible an idea, actually. There could be benefits to identifying a Pratchett fan...
Ooh, I love resolutions...
To read more, obviously, and to read "better stuff" (than some of the stuff I read now, I don't mean to set off a mass debate on the strengths of certain books...)
To improve my vocabulary to an extent where I can substitute some clever phrase for "better stuff"...
Am slowly warming to Regina Spektor after going to see her a couple of months back. Love Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins though, very pleased to see that as your number 1, beer good!
I've read 72 books this year, that I've counted up over at CDA's forum. Plus another four or five that I've forgotten about. Unlikely to read many more (or even finish Crime and Punishment, my current read) this year now. Despite having never kept track of reads during a year, I would estimate...
I haven't been able to get hold of this, but have the others, aside from a collection of short stories, which I believe McGrath has written. Having only read Asylum and Spider (which I thought were truly excellent), I would assume from your review, and those I have read over on Palimpsest, that...
I am crap at debating but would never agree with such an idea, having ridiculously paltry reasoning which is that the idea is just sickeningly wrong, which I guess would make me a "pro-life nutjob" with the best of them. Killing a person, for whatever reason (including ordinary euthenasia...
