That is quite disappointing. Come on, bookandreader members, let's discuss.
Well, I could talk and talk about this book. It was fantastic.
I thought that was possibly the cheesiest aspect of the entire story. The fact that the place they lived was called Middlesex, only marginally makes it...
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Although Boo Radley isn't the main character, he is a pretty big one.
I haven't read Marcel Proust's volumes In Search of Lost Time, but I heard he wrote them whilst staying in his bed for a number of years, so maybe his protagonist has a similar...
I have been waiting patiently for someone to start the thread.
Don't know any names yet, other than posh George, so I guess I'll have to come back to this thread. Any excuse. ;)
But yes, definitely watching! :D

That's right.
There's no need to be rude.
To whoever suggested Intensity by Dean Koontz ^^^ (sorry, I can't see your post due to a million posts by people who can't organise their thoughts into one post) I have to agree that, despite it being only one of two Koontz novels I've read, it...
No, no don't leave! Stay here and let's discuss Lolita all over again. We can forget the previous 150 pages of posts (except post 1981, the year of my birth, which is a post that took me about two hours to compile) and begin again.
What did you think of the couch scene then?
Come on...
How can anyone not be curious about the contents of this book?
:D
Wow, that's interesting. I'm actually being serious. I once read a book about the uses of foods, Kim and Aggie style, called something to do with not putting butter on a burn. Fascinating!
I can't imagine many people would...
lol Still.
Is badminton bad? It's quite popular.
I have a certificate for badminton (and hockey, and trampolining) though never play, and certainly haven't since being at school. I think I'm just too rubbish at it. I mean the idea is to get the game over as quickly as possible, isn't it...
I have the Mind Map one but find software much easier to manage than fiddling about with coloured pencils and massive amounts of selotaped-together paper.
Use Your Head and Use Your Memory are fantastic, though I haven't read them since I was studying for GCSEs at the age of fifteen or whatever.
I listen to music all day long: at work, exercising, reading, whatever. I force myself to revise for exams without music, because I know for some reason they don't let you sit an exam with a mobile phone or mp3 player.
I completely disagree with this. I don't think Sebold illustrated the beauty of sex at all with this, but rather, she used a known gimmick to make her book sell.
She could have written it so much more powerful, even including the sex scene, if she was so adamant to, but she didn't. Of...
