    The Girl Next Door

I read the book a few years back and honestly, I don't feel any desire to see the movie and I never touched a Jack Ketchum novel again. Sicko.

    Truman Capote

Someone recommended In Cold Blood to me a few years ago. ince then I tried to finish it twice. Personally I don't consider Capote a good writer based on this book. The book got famous because the crime he wrote aout became famous.

    October 2008 Book group suggestions

I'd like to suggest something a bit newer. "My Lobotomy" by Howard Dully. I personally wanted to read the book for quite some time and the paperback edition's going to be published in Aug. 2008. Taken from the Amazon book description: "At age 12, in 1960, Dully received a transorbital...

    Hells Kitchen

I watch this one, too. Did you see the last episode ? Like the winner ? I always like this shows because it gives you insight in other cooking techniques. Same with the Ironchef or Flay's Throwdown. :-)

    Hells Kitchen

I love cooking so I'm watching Hell's Kitchen every Tuesday. I was shocked to see Bobby go but also understood the reasons. Bobby rarely made such mistakes as the others but he also rarely stood out as much as the remaining contestants. I'm glad I don't have to decide on which contestant to...

Poll: How old is the average reader on this Forum?

I'm 31 and the only one in my family that really reads. My father likes reading but I'm afraid with a demanding mother like mine he doesn't have a chance to read much. :-S It reminds me, I should order some new books for him. :-) I've always been reading. When my husband and I moved...

    My late introduction

I thought it would be neat because I didn't introduce me on B&R. So... I'm German and lived there most of my life. In 2005 my husband received an offer to take over Silicon Valley and we moved to California, where we still are. I guess I don't have to mention that I love books. I always...
